4 to 6 Safaris (Core + Buffer) Innova AC Transfers Included Double Occupancy Stay Max 4 Guests Per Gypsy
About This Reserve

The Realm of Teak, Lakes & High Tiger Density

Tadoba–Andhari Tiger Reserve is Maharashtra's oldest and largest national park, revered by wildlife photographers and enthusiasts as India's premier tiger sanctuary. Its open dry deciduous teak forests, bamboo groves, and perennial water bodies like Telia and Tadoba lake foster extraordinary predator density and dramatic natural light.

Safariwale curates tactical drives across both legendary core gates—Moharli and Kolara—as well as high-action buffer zones like Karhandla and Gothangaon. Our veteran naturalists track real-time cat movements rather than fixed routines, ensuring every guest experiences the wilderness at its peak.

Reserve Highlights

  • Apex Wildlife: Royal Bengal tigers, Indian leopards, sloth bears, dholes (wild dogs), massive Indian gaur, and marsh crocodiles
  • Strategic Gate Allocation: Balanced Core and Buffer zone permits selected for optimum sighting probabilities across seasons
  • Door-to-Forest AC Transit: Dedicated Innova AC pickup and drop from Nagpur airport or railway station (approx. 2.5 to 3 hours)
  • Uncrowded 4-Guest Gypsy: Strictly limited to 4 guests per open safari vehicle for clear shooting angles and personal naturalist guidance

Best Time to Visit

October to June: Winter months (October to February) bring pleasant weather and misty forest vistas; summer months (March to May) offer the highest sighting frequencies as tigers frequently gather around waterholes such as Telia, Tadoba, and Jamunbodi.

Frequently Asked Questions

Essential answers regarding permits, zones, vehicle allocations, and packing.

What is the difference between Core and Buffer zones in Tadoba?

Core zones (e.g. Moharli, Kolara, Navegaon) form the inviolate inner sanctuary with ancient water bodies and strict permit quotas. Buffer zones (e.g. Karhandla, Junona, Agarzari, Devada) border the core and feature equally vibrant tiger territories with flourishing resident prides and cubs. Our packages thoughtfully blend both for the highest possible sighting success.

How many guests share each safari vehicle?

In accordance with our luxury small-group commitment and the official package guidelines, Gypsy sharing is strictly limited to 4 guests per vehicle. This ensures unrestricted 360-degree viewing, ample elbow room for telephoto gear, and personalized attention from your naturalist.

How early should I book my Tadoba tiger safari?

Tadoba Forest Department permits open months in advance and core gate permits (especially Moharli and Kolara) sell out within minutes of release. We strongly recommend reserving your tour 60 to 120 days in advance. For high-demand peak months like March, April, and May, booking as early as possible is crucial.

What ID proof do I need to carry on safari?

You must carry the exact same original government photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License) used during the initial permit booking. Forest guards at every gate strictly verify each guest's name and ID number before allowing the vehicle inside the park.

Are road transfers from Nagpur included in the package price?

Yes. Every package includes private AC Innova road transfers between Nagpur (Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport or Nagpur Junction Railway Station) and your resort in Tadoba for both arrival pickup and departure drop.

Are camera lens fees included in the tour package?

Camera and high-magnification telephoto lens fees are levied directly by the Maharashtra Forest Department and vary according to focal length. As per park policy, these fees are not included in the package and must be paid at the gate when entering with professional camera equipment.
